Goonie’s World

Having summoned the demon Firiel, the heroes are granted magical powers to aid them in rescuing Roger Goode. After some preparation, the outlaws execute their plan and make their way into the dreaded dungeons of Nottingham Castle.
 

After showing up unexpectedly in Sourhampton, Robin Hood himself accuses the heroes of poaching on his land and demands a percentage of their takings as dues. Unwilling to pay, the heroes agree to a series of contests against notable members of the Merry Men that, if won, will allow them to operate freely in Sherwood Forest until springtime. Later on, the heroes receive word that the Lovely Lad Roger Goode has been captured by Flemish mercenaries and imprisoned in the dungeons of Nottingham Castle. Determined to free him, they decide to seek help from a legendary figure.
 

While the villainous Prince John rules London in King Richard’s absence, three outlaws band together to redistribute the wealth. The overconfident bastard Arthur Brown, runaway boy Spencer Twiddy, and vengeful cook Belgar Frigosi make it their mission to rob the nobleman Sir Enguerrand de Coucy as he travels by wagon through Sherwood Forest. During the encounter, the heroes acquire a hidden treasure and a new name to go along with it. Afterward, joining forces with another gang of young outlaws calling themselves the Lovely Lads, they make their way to the impoverished village of Sourhampton. As they’re busy giving to the poor, however, they are interrupted by an unexpected visitor.

With Dr. Patel now in their possession, Al and Howitzer seek a hideout to get off the streets and assess the situation. Once there, the elven scientist surprises the runners, throwing yet another monkey wrench into the works. Eventually striking a deal, they deliver the elf to the chosen location and complete their adventure (for now). A loose end remains, however, ensuring their story will continue later.  
 

Denver, 2078: in a futuristic world of magic and metahumans, Alwyk “Al” Cylyndryel (an elven mage) and Zak “Howitzer” Sharp (a human tank) receive a job offer to kidnap a scientist and bring him to a warehouse for $10k each if done in the next 24 hours. As the runners prepare to make their move, they are unexpectedly presented with a counteroffer, and the situation intensifies.

After a brief confrontation with the natives of Umlaut’s dreamland, the Norseman must once again face off against a cursed beast, this time against Nya Gwaheh, the Naked Bear. Once slain, they’re free to settle in the land of plenty and live out the rest of their days raising families, harvesting grain, and assisting the Beothuk battle their adversaries. Will Thor and Umlaut indeed settle down or will the Norns compel them to return to their Viking ways?
 

Sailing in the direction of Greenland, the Vikings are caught in a devastating storm and struggle to save their ship and crew. When the storm finally passes and dawn arrives, they find themselves off course and approaching the coast of a new land. The trees match those of Umlaut’s dream, as well as the natives who promptly introduce themselves with arrows.
 
 

Reaching Iceland, Thor and Umlaut come upon a settlement and receive a heroes’ welcome. Together with Kari’s brothers and Brother Brendan, the Vikings are sent on a quest by the village leader Ingolfur to kill a monster in its mountain lair. Facing their greatest challenge yet, some of the warriors choose to die in battle, while others choose to flee in defeat.

Having sailed from Norway with Kari and her brothers in a drakkar longship, the explorers eventually spot land. When they disembark onto one of the Zetland islands, they are confronted by the tattooed, grease-haired natives. After diplomacy fails, the Vikings are forced into a bloody battle. Afterwards, they retreat to their ship once again and escape further bloodshed. Sailing into a storm, the heroes finally come upon a strange shipwreck survivor.  
 

Back in Trondheim, Thor and Umlaut discover that in their absence Smooth-Tooth has been spreading lies about them to King Harold. When Thor asks for permission to marry the king’s cousin Kari, it is decided that only a judicial battle will settle the matter. Accepting the ruling, the karls fight against Smooth-Tooth and his brother Yngwie Hump, only to later find themselves being run out of the village by the sore losers’ uncle Bolg the Bulge and a mob of his kin. Fortunately, Umlaut has had a dream of a strange new land awaiting them.
